Portable Storage Containers Coronado

We provide portable storage containers in Coronado from our San Diego Location. The city is located on a peninsula that is connected to the mainland by a 10- mile long isthmus, the Silver Strand. Even though the Silver Strand anchors Coronado to San Diego, the public still affectionately refers to the city of Coronado as Coronado Island, or “the island”.

Coronado contains some of the most expensive and sought after real estate property in California and the country. U.S. News and World Report named it one of the most expensive places to live, and Forbes reported that the median home price in Coronado as of 2010 was $1,840,665. Real estate development is prominent in the city and storage container rental to support the construction. This number sets the city in third place for the most expensive real estate in San Diego, and in the top 20 for most expensive real estate in the United States.

Best Real Estate

Many elements create Coronado’s real estate appeal. These include charming downtown district, rich history, isolated geographical location, waterfront scenic views, and sunny weather. These elements also make Coronado an ideal tourist location. Tourists and residents alike appreciate the downtown district, which lies along Orange Avenue. This area is referred to as “The Village”, and has many restaurants, shops and theatres. The two local theatres of the cityare the Lamb’s Players Theatre and the Coronado Playhouse.

Tourism and Famous Hotels

Tourism took off in the city at the end of the 19th century when the famous Hotel del Coronado opened in 1888. By the 1920’s the hotel was a regular hot spot for celebrities and other wealthy visitors. The hotel’s white walls and red cone roofs are as iconic to Coronado as palm trees. Reid & Reid architects designed the hotel in Victorian American Architectural style. It is one of the oldest and largest all wooden buildings in California today. Hotel Del is listed on the National Historic Landmark data- base, and is one of the world’s most highly regarded resorts.

The hotel retains its Victorian look today, but has updated numerous times since the end of the 19th century with the assistance of mobile storage container rentals in Coronado. In 2005 new ownership instigated a $10 million addition of 381 rooms. Approval was also granted for an addition of 37 limited-term occupancy villas and 205 more rooms. Hotel Del has 7 floors, 4 restaurants, and 680 rooms. The hotel has it’s own access to a long, pristine stretch of beach. The two other most popular resorts in the city are the Coronado Island Marriott and the Loews Coronado Bay Resort.

Bridge and Strand

The San Diego Coronado Bridge was opened in 1969, and made travel to and from the island much less cumbersome. The bridge shortened the trip that would otherwise be taken from the 75 freeway along the silver strand, or a ferry across the bay.
