Reid & Reid architects designed the hotel in Victorian American Architectural style. It is one of the oldest and largest all wooden buildings in California today. Hotel Del is listed on the National Historic Landmark data- base, and is one of the world’s most highly regarded resorts.
The hotel retains its Victorian look today, but has updated numerous times since the end of the 19th century with the assistance of mobile storage container rentals in Coronado. Bridge and Strand
The San Diego Coronado Bridge was opened in 1969, and made travel to and from the island much less cumbersome. The bridge shortened the trip that would otherwise be taken from the 75 freeway along the silver strand, or a ferry across the bay.
