The city of Vista has a Mediterranean climate because it is located just 7 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean. Vista was incorporated as a city in 1963 and has now grown to a population of 94,000. It is truly a beautiful city and development over the last decade has included the use of portable storage containers from our location in nearby Spring Valley.
Great Place to Raise a Family
Vista is a great community for family life. Vista has 18 elementary schools for parents to pick from when raising their children. Vista’s middle schools and high schools are of high caliber. Some of these schools are Rancho Buena Vista High School and Vista High School.
Vista hosts two city funded theatres. These are the Avo Playhouse and the Moonlight Amphitheatre. Productions and concerts are held in the Avo Playhouse during the winter months, and moved outside to the Moonlight Amphitheatre during the summer. This past winter the Avo Theatre held productions of The Foreigner and Ring Around the Moon. On-site storage units helped the The Krikorian Movie Theatre complex open in 2003 at the Vista Village shopping center. Vista Village is located on Main Street.
Beautiful Parks
Vista has many beautiful parks. The Brengle Terrace Park holds the Moonlight Amphitheatre, senior center, a baseball field, community center, playground, and Alta Vista Gardens. Alta Vista Gardens is a beautiful area that consists of a botanical garden that is funded by the state. Guajome Park is an expansive park that covers almost 560 acres of land. The park has horse trails and beautiful scenery. Vista also has a Wave Water park that features outdoor slides and fun water activities.
The Shadow ridge Country Club is located on Gateway Drive and it not home to many container rentals. This club offers golf, fitness, and dinning opportunities to the residents of Vista. The Vista Valley Country Club also has a beautiful golf course and offers fitness and dinning opportunities to its members.
Historic adobe buildings are located in Vista. These are the Rancho Guajome Adobe and Rancho Buena Vista Adobe. These historic sites attract many tourists to the Vista area. The Antique Gas and Steam Engine Museum also attracts many visitors throughout the year.
