Inglewood is located Southwest of downtown Los Angeles. We have provided storage container rental services from our Portable Storage location in nearby Ontario. We have been in Los Angeles for over 30 years.
Growth has been steady
Inglewood began to transform into a metropolitan city in the 1970’s. The modern City Hall and Civic Center complex was constructed in 1973. This building is one of the first high rises to be constructed in Inglewood. It contains city hall, the library, the fire department, and the courts. Builders needed quite a few portable storage containers to complete the project. Many high-rise office buildings continued to be constructed. One of the newest building additions is the Trizec building located on La Cienega street. The Trizec building is 14 stories high and cost $50 million to construct.
There are three major neighborhoods that make up Inglewood. These neighborhoods include Crenshaw-Imperial, Morningside Park, and North Inglewood. Manchester and Crenshaw Boulevard are two major streets that run through Morningside Park area. Morningside Park is only 6 miles from the Los Angles International Airport. North Inglewood neighborhood holds the arts district and is located North of the Santa Fe Railroad tracks.
Easy Transportationg
Inglewood is accessible by Interstate Freeways such as the 405, 105, 110, and 10. The Los Angles World Airport is just two miles from Inglewood. The Los Angeles and Long Beach Harbor are also just a short drive from Inglewood. We have delivered portable storage containers to both these locations. The accessible location of Inglewood made it a prime choice for the airfreight industry. This gave Inglewood its nickname, the “harbor of the air”.
Rich History
The rich history of Inglewood is maintained and remembered at the Centinela Adobe Complex at 7643 Midfield. The Centinela Valley Heritage Research Center is located here. There are many exhibits showcasing mementos from Inglewood’s past. These historic places attract visitors who want to know more about the history of the area. The city has not adopted the use of storage container housing or modular designs.
The Inglewood Unified School District is in charge of the majority of the schools in Inglewood. Inglewood High School and Morningside High School are the two major high schools for the city. Some of the private schools in the area include: St. Mary’s Academy and St. John’s Chrysostom Elementary School.
